Charles Walters

Charles J. Walters, of the Pureland Group, Inc. is responsible for the marketing, construction and financing of the 3,000 acre Pureland Industrial Complex, as well as other development projects throughout the tri-state region of New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware.

During Mr. Walters’ tenure at Pureland, the complex has grown from two buildings of 160,000 square feet with three tenants to over 133 buildings containing more than 18,000,000 square feet with 187 tenants. He has negotiated leases for over 20,000,000 square feet of Industrial, Office and Flex space. He has negotiated and secured financing for over $600 million worth of property. He has consulted on real estate ma ers to a number of public and privately held companies.  Before joining Pureland, Mr. Walters was Director of Development at the Warner Company.  Responsibilities at the Warner Company included analysis of all corporate owned real property and ul mate disposition, feasibility studies for potenial projects, and opera onal responsibility for a division that was acquired as a direct result of his analysis and recommenda on.   Prior to Mr. Walters’ employment at Warner, he was Assistant to the President of Valley Forge Corpora on. 

In addition to the above, Mr. Walters’ experience included project management for two major consul ng firms.  While consul ng, Mr. Walters headed a team for feasibility studies and market analysis to determine market demand, target market, market mix, development plan, and implementation on schedule for condominiums, multi-family and single-family housing projects, and development of management information systems to set up and monitor a multilevel reporting system for planning, costing, and controlling numerous projects. 

Mr. Walters has received numerous awards and recognition from various groups and agencies that include State of New Jersey, Gloucester County, Society of Industrial and Office Realtors, South Jersey Chamber of Commerce, Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce and Tri-State Board of Realtors.

Mr. Walters holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Drexel University and an MBA in finance from the Wharton School, and is a Licensed Real Estate Broker in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  He is a highly decorated veteran officer of the U.S. Army Special Forces, having served in the United States and Vietnam.
